Does my donation go directly to rescues?
Yes. Funding is strategically allocated toward specific frontline needs, such as emergency veterinary care, rescue operations, transport, and shelter upgrades, rather than a broad general pool. Global Animal Welfare Fund operates with no salaried staff overheads.
How much of my donation goes to administration?
The vast majority goes directly toward frontline projects and urgent rescue needs. Donations are processed through Fundraise Up, which charges a 4% platform fee plus standard Stripe or PayPal payment processing, and donors can choose to cover this cost at checkout.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
At this stage, no. Global Animal Welfare Fund is a registered Australian charity, but Australian tax law generally only grants tax-deductible status to animal charities directly operating animal care facilities within Australia. Many well-known animal welfare organisations operating internationally face the same limitation. Please speak with your own tax advisor for guidance specific to your situation.
