Frontline Partner: World of Angles
No puppy has ever survived this pound. We're here to change that.
$8,000 covers emergency food and shelter for 88 puppies, and every dollar's tracked publicly.
In 13 years, not a single puppy at this pound has survived long enough to be adopted. World of Angles Foundation is on the ground right now, feeding and sheltering 88 puppies who have nowhere else to go. Your gift funds an emergency kibble delivery and two air-conditioned kennels built to keep vulnerable dogs alive.
Where your gift goes right now
Your donation funds two things this pound desperately needs.
Emergency kibble delivery
88 puppies and hundreds of other dogs at the pound are going hungry right now. $4,000 pays for a fully loaded delivery truck, documented from loading to feeding, so you can see exactly where the food goes.
Air-conditioned kennels for vulnerable dogs
The pound has nowhere safe to put sick, injured, or adoption-ready dogs. $4,000 builds two container kennels with air conditioning and secure outdoor runs, built to last for years, not just this crisis.
13 survivors, now all in forever homes
Funding in action
This isn't the first time World of Angels has called us for help.
In November 2024, a fire tore through a small shelter in Beijing and killed 68 cats and 40 dogs. It also killed Lijie, the rescuer who ran back inside trying to save them. World of Angels took in 13 of the survivors, dogs who'd just lost their home, their carer, and each other.
World of Angels launched an emergency fundraiser for vet care and transport, but came up short. Their founder, Yiping Lai, called Global Animal Welfare Fund. We contributed $5,000 AUD, and within days, every dog's care was fully funded.
All 13 dogs recovered. Every one of them now has a forever home.
Why give through Global Animal Welfare Fund instead of directly?
Traditional charity model
- Pooled into a general fund
- Less visibility into where support goes
- Often focused on broader campaigns
- Urgent gaps may be harder to reach
Global Animal Welfare Fund
- Pooled into ready funding, deployed the moment need is confirmed
- Every allocation named, purposed, and publicly reported
- Focused exclusively on frontline welfare needs
- Vets every rescue organisation before funding is released
Before you donate.
Does my donation go directly to this campaign?
Yes. Your gift is allocated specifically to WOA's kibble delivery and kennel build, not a general fund. Global Animal Welfare Fund runs on low overhead, so most of what you give reaches WOA and the dogs they're caring for.
Who is WOA?
WOA is one of Global Animal Welfare Fund's frontline partners. They're the team who took in 13 dogs after a shelter fire in Beijing killed their rescuer, Lijie, in 2024, and got every dog into a forever home. Right now they're working to save 88 puppies at a pound where, in 13 years, none have survived long enough to be adopted.
How much of my donation goes to administration?
Most of your donation goes straight to WOA's work. Donations run through Fundraise Up, which charges a 4% platform fee plus standard Stripe or PayPal processing. You can choose to cover that fee at checkout so more of your gift reaches WOA.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
No, not at this stage. Global Animal Welfare Fund is a registered Australian charity, but Australian tax law generally limits deductible status to animal charities that directly operate care facilities inside Australia. Many well-known international animal welfare organisations run into the same limit. Talk to your own tax advisor about what this means for you.
Will I see the impact of my donation?
Yes. Once the kibble delivery and kennel build are complete, we'll share real updates and photos from WOA so you can see exactly what your gift made possible.
Save the 88 Puppies
Fund World of Angels' fight to save these 88 puppies.
World of Angels can't stop feeding these puppies because donations are slow this week. They can't wait for a bigger campaign while dogs are starving right now.
Right now they're stretching kibble across 88 hungry puppies, and making impossible calls about who eats first.
Consistent funding changes that.
It means World of Angels can act the moment a puppy needs help, instead of waiting on the next fundraiser.
Your donation closes that gap today.
